Early this week, Miss America said some not-positive things about video games. I said some not-positive things about Miss America. BigKevSexyMan said some not-positive things about me:
"Ok, I understand wanting to defend video games against people like jack thompson and stuff, but seriously, get over yourself. You don’t have to attack every single public figure that doesn’t like video games. Lighten up already."
Point taken, Kev. Please accept this reacharound.
Patrick "Scoop" Klepek spoke to Konami producer Tomm Hulett, who explained that the Silent Hill series doesn’t have a "canon," as such. Reader Magisternoah disagreed:
"This article is complete and utter Bull…"No Canon" That’s untrue completely.
Zero: Takes place a few years before the first game, in which the events of Alessa’s burning happens. And Travis becomes her guardian.
One: Alessa has reached revenge stage and her child is summoned back to the city. Harry is an unwitting participator in the would be birth of god.
Three: Heather or Alessa , Harry’s daughter has her own bout with the church wanting to birth god using her again.
Five: Travis delivers Alex to the wolves. As a child who was suppose to have died, he’s conveying him home as the guardian he is.
The only games that don’t fit into the "Canon" Would be 2-4-6 the even numbered games."
Hey, Magisternoah, please accept this reacharound for sheer chutzpah: It takes courage to disagree with the producer of game about the game he created.
The two best comments (IMHO) of the week are both positive. In response to the Fallout 3 teaser released this week, FuzzyHammer said:
I didn’t think I needed adult diapers at this stage of my life, but apparently I do because I just crapped my pants from the excitement and anticipation for this game.
I don’t have a pair of Depends for you, Fuzzy, but I am gonna send you a Tekken 6 faceplate.
